Marc Camille Chaimowicz established himself in the 1970s with his evocative installations and performances. His installations have often included the artist’s photographs and his prototypes for fabrics, wallpaper and ceramics, as well as found objects and artworks by others. His work combines a sensitivity to the personal and the everyday with a highly developed sense of theatre and lifestyle.
Marc Camille Chaimowicz has had numerous solo exhibitions, including shows at Wiener Secession, Vienna; Artist Space, New York; MuZEE, Ostend; Kunstverein, Düsseldorf; and Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Zürich. His work has been shown in several group exhibitions at venues such as Tate Modern, London; Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven; MOCA, Los Angeles; and MoMA, New York.
He also participated at Manifesta 10 in Sint-Petersburg in 2014.
