curated by Frédéric de Goldschmidt
(collector)
French-born, Brussels-based collector Frédéric de Goldschmidt doesn’t follow many trends. He much rather relies on his own instinctive attraction to artists and their work. He is invested in their ideas, and how these help further develop his own thoughts and imagination. And he loves to share; Frédéric is a generous collector who frequently shows parts of his collection – be it at his space in downtown Brussels or as part of institutional exhibitions, such as most recently as part of Private Choices at Centrale for Contemporary Art, Brussels. Across our very own office, Frédéric just finished renovating an old mental institution to be able to permanently share a large part of his collection with the Brussels crowd. We very much look forward to the inauguration of his new space called Cloud Seven,. In the meantime, was asked Frédéric to make a selection of works he’d like to add to his collection.
In the cover image of this collection, Frédéric de Goldschmidt poses alongside Joël Andrianomearisoa’s IN LOVE WITH THE
WORLD/BUT I WILL BE HOME SOON installed at Cloud Seven.
