The Green Parrot
The Green Parrot is a small-scale nomadic organisation dedicated to research and critical thinking in the visual arts. Founded in 2014 by two curators, Rosa Lleó and João Laia, it existed as an exhibition space in an apartment in the centre of Barcelona for two years, and now it is in its second iteration as a resident project at the Tàpies Foundation, where they are developing a more discursive programme.
Since its opening in April 2014 the space has hosted exhibitions, a program of talks and events, and started a series of publications that bring together artists and other practitioners from the local and international scene such as Marc Camille Chaimowicz, Lúa Coderch, Diogo Evangelista, June Crespo, Shana Moulton, Daniel Steegmann Mangrané, among others.
