Extra Nervous is a series of adaptations of digital drawings into mirrored plexiglass. Balancing on the edge between hard-edge abstraction and primitive figuration, this series of 10 unique compositions is based on vector diagrams Rozendaal uses as a starting point for the websites he is famous for. While the websites Rozendaal designs are animated, these compositions – due to their materiality – are not. Their reflective surfaces do play with the idea of movement though, so animation is still lingering below the surface.
This series sold out before all individual works could be documented.
