Considered to be one of the most promising young artists in Belgium, Rinus Van de Velde has developed a practice around monumental, narrative charcoal drawings that tell an open-ended story, which is part of an imaginary autobiography. For artlead, Rinus Van de Velde made a selection of his favorite artworks, stating "this is what I'd buy if I had an unlimited budget.”
